What is this course?
Fundamentals of Programming (CSC105) is a 4-credit computer science course at Camden County College that teaches basic concepts and principles of programming using a visually-oriented instructional program to teach otherwise-abstract concepts.
What does that mean?
Alice is a program created by the Stage 3 Research Group at Carnegie Mellon University to teach programming through an easy-to-use 3D animation program. For people who have never programmed before, the task of learning to write your first program can be very daunting. Alice introduces programming concepts such as selection, repetition, recursion, inheritance, methods, parameters, variables and lists, quickly, easily, and enjoyably. Past worlds created by students have consisted of: music videos, stories, commercials, and interactive games.
