Assessment of Student Learning

The Office of Vice President of Academic Affairs provides college-wide leadership and coordination of a systematic, sustained, and thorough assessment process to evaluate and improve student learning. The Assessment of Student Learning process is sustained and implemented with the support and collaboration of faculty and administration.  Assessment of student learning demonstrates that, at graduation, or other appropriate points, Camden County College students have knowledge, skills, and competencies consistent with institutional and appropriate higher education goals.

The Assessment of Student Learning process is designed to ensure that articulated statements of expected student learning outcomes at all levels, including institution, program and course and for all programs aim to foster student learning and development and are appropriately integrated with one another while supporting Camden County College’s mission.

The Assessment of Student Learning process uses multiple qualitative and/or quantitative measures that maximize the use of existing data and information, all of which clearly and purposefully relate to the goals being assess. The  process ensures sufficient quality so that results can be used with confidence to inform decisions; and include direct evidence of student learning.
