Dear Student,

Welcome to the hybrid course.  Hopefully, this letter will answer some of the questions you might have.

What is a hybrid course?

A hybrid course consists of two portions: an online portion, and a classroom portion.  Each portion contains about 50% of the learning, activities, and assignments. The online portion is really a web site. It is available to the student 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You are expected to meet the assignment due dates that appear online, and to attend the classroom portion of the course.

What are the technical requirements?

They are available at this link: http://www.camdencc.edu/distance_learning/tech_requirements.htm

How is testing handled in an on-line course?

Instructors use a number of testing options. Most tests will be available online. However, instructors will provide specific information at the beginning of the semester.

How do you access the online portion of the course?

Go to the website http://ccc.webstudy.com

You will see this screen. Log in with a username and password.

First initial + last name + last 4 digits of social security number

Your Log In/Username and Password

You must enter two pieces of information each time you access the course website:  Log In or Username (the terminology differs depending on the course) AND a personal Password.  The College has created these two pieces of information for each student:

Log In/Username:  first initial of your first name+entire last name (lower case)+last four digits of your Social Security Number (no spaces).

Password:  same as Log In/Username

Example:  Harry James, Social Security number:  236-53-9789

Log In/Username:  hjames9789

Password: hjames9789

Then you will see this screen. This is your student account. Select your course here.

Is technical assistance available to students?

There is a student help line (technical assistance) that students may dial directly, 856-374-5007.  Students may also email the Help Desk at online@camdencc.edu.

Sincerely,
